Nomura Tsukudani has an ample selection—about 100 kinds!—of tsukudani (food boiled in soy sauce). There are also products sold by weight for home use. Nomura Tsukudani has inherited the tradition of carefully making various products little by little since their early days when they were a delicatessen, which was still rare at the time.

Nomura originally opened as a delicatessen in Nishiki Market about 90 years ago. After gaining popularity, it became a tsukudani store and continues to this day. They value the sense of season, offering products such as butterbur shoots and rice seasoning with canola flowers in spring.

The most popular item at the store is chirimen sansho (dried baby sardines with Japanese sansho pepper). It is a product that gives a sense of Kyoto's uniqueness.
They have a variety of relatively mildly seasoned products for people of all ages to enjoy.
